Question
Shahat
My Golden Retriever, age 7, smells like stinky feet.

I wash him and then rinse him with Nature's Miracle and
let dry. That takes care of the stink for a few days,
but then he starts smelling again.

What is causing the smell?

Our vet doesn't seem to really know.

Is it ok to just keep doing this, or is the smelliness a possible indicator that he needs a lot of physiological testing for some kind of illness?

Any ideas?

in my experience with dogs, this kind of persistent odor -- not a normal dog "musk" -- but a stinky, SOUR, funky smell -- is NOT lack of cleanliness but either:

A. a fungal infection of the skin
B. a parasite infecting the skin

Only a vet can evaluate this, BUT if your vet is stumped, you might need a specialist: a veterinary DERMATOLOGIST. Google this in your area -- one good source is the local state veterinary college. (You may have to travel to see a specialist, especially if you live far from a big city.)

The treatment for a fungal infection is typically an anti-fungal drug, sometimes plus an antibiotic.

My sister-in-laws dog developed this from swimming in a dirty rural pond near their home. You might want to think about places such as that your dog frequents, and avoiding them.

Good luck!

Thank you for contacting Nature's Miracle. It is ok for you to continue to bathe him with our product but there is a possibility that he has a fungus or underlying infection going on maybe even bacterial that is causing him to smell like that so I would follow up with the vet for sure to rule things out.

Question
Cat repeatedly urinating in same spot
One of my cats started peeing on the floor at 7yrs old. I have tried everything, including foil, moving litter boxes, cleaning them more often etc.. She pees on the slate floor against the back door to the garage, the front door, and against the wall in the bathroom. She is destroying the floor, the baseboard and the walls !!! I have used two of your products (Advanced Formula and the cat specific) but she just pees over it once it dries. Your product claims to prevent resoiling the same area - any suggestions ?

Thank you for contacting Nature's Miracle. Yes our product does assist in preventing resoiling assuming the odor is fully removed but if it becomes habitual that is harder to break them of. We make a product called NM No More Spraying which is a repellant that is sprayed on the area after you have treated it. I would recommend trying that as there is very good success with it.

Thank you for your inquiry to Nature's Miracle. We would recommend the Dual Action Hard Floor Stain & Odor Remover. If you can sand the sealer off the floor and then apply our product, that would be best. For inside the fireplace, you can use either this or the Nature's Miracle Just For Cats Formula. The product is most effective if allowed to air dry. You can try covering the affected areas with some towels soaked in the Nature's Miracle and then just allow to air dry.

Thank you for your e-mail regarding our proudcts.

Yes you can use the Nature's Miracle Stain and Odor Remover.

You would saturate the area and let it air dry, which can take up to two weeks.

Please color test carpet first

We do not suggest this product be used for commercial use. It was intended for pet owners that know where their pets have soiled.

One gallon only covers 9sq. feet.

Question
Nature's Miracle on Concrete
I have a cat who has been relieving himself on the concrete by our furnace. It's in the same room as the cat boxes. My question is does Nature's Miracle work on concrete and if so could you tell me how much to use and how long to leave it on before you dry it up? We've put it on the stain twice and the odor is still pretty bad. We can't tell if he's going there more or not because of the odor.

Thank you for your e-mail regarding our proudct, Nature's Miracle.

Our product does work on concrete, however you have to keep the animal away from the area to give the enzymes a chance to work.

With concrete we suggest to saturate the area and then saturate a towel and lay it on top, when the towel is dry the odor should be gone.

You should also be using Nature's Miracle Just for Cats

Question
Dog urine on furniture
My old dog urinated on my ottoman. How long do I wait for the odor to go away before I reapply? I have saturated it and since it is not dense like carpet it dries quickly. I have used your product for years but it has always been on carpet and it takes 2 or 3 treatments.

Thank you for your e-mail regarding our product.

You would re-apply the product when the ottoman is 100% dry. Depending on the amount of urine it could take several treatments

Question
How to remove cat urine odor from a variety of places
My cat sprayed against the foot of our bed, getting urine on the box spring, mattress, down comforter, and sheets.

I washed the comforter and it still smells.
I want to get the box spring and mattress clean and odor-free so he doesn't do it again.

My questions are:
Which product or products should I use?
What method of cleaning should I use?
With the mattress and box spring, should I rotate them so that the marked area faces the wall and he can't get to them? Or will that not provide enough air circulation for Nature's Miracle to work?

Thanks!

Thank you for your e-mail regarding our proudct, Nature's Miracle.

You would saturate the areas and just let air dry. The odor becomes stronger and as it dries it goes away.

You should use the Just For Cat products.
