Question
Odor became worse after using Advanced Stain&Odor Remover
There was a small area (12" x 12") on the carpet where a cat urinated a while ago. The area was previously cleaned (about a year ago), and didn't smell unless you get down to the carpet. I decided to use Advanced Stain & Odor Remover to remove the rest of the smell. When the carpet became wet, the smell became much stronger, and now I can smell it in the air. It has been 4 days, and the smell is still pretty strong. The top of the carpet feels dry, but the pad is still damp. Is it normal? Should I wait for 2 weeks for it to dry, or use more product or some other product of Natures Miracle?

Thank you for your e-mail regarding our product, Nature's Miracle.
When you apply the product the odor becomes stronger, when it starts drying the odor will go away. It takes at least two weeks of air drying.

I've found that while the area is still damp, it can be hard to tell what you're smelling, the original odor or the product. I would peel back the carpet and put a fan on the pad, allowing it to dry completely (and don't forget the floor underneath must be dry too). The product odor will dissipate after a few days. To be sure, put a black light on the area to check for residue. If some remains, re-treat with the product. If there is none, then steam-clean that area of the carpet.
