I am buying a home whose previous owners have dogs. The home smells strongly of dog. The home has 1700 sq ft of hardwood floors and 300 sq ft of carpet. I expect that the odor is also on the kitchen cabinetry, walls and woodwork. How would I remove this odor from the various surfaces in the home before moving in our furnitiure?

We do not recommend this product be used in a home that you don't know exactly where the animal have had accidents.

The only suggestion I have is that you purchase a Urine Black Lite from a pet store, this would show you where the pets had accidents, but even then it is too large of an area to treat blindly it would be too costly.

I would put the Advanced Odor remover on all surfaces. carpet and wood. But they key to the product working is to keep it wet for atleast a couple days, if you can.

How much Natures Miracle Carpet Shampoo should I use on my carpet cleaner?

I have a Kenmore Cleanmore carpet cleaner. The instructions on the carpet cleaner state to refer to instruction on the shampoo bottle but the instructions on the Natures Miracle Carpet Shampoo says "use according to machine instructions." I just want to know how much should I use? I need measurements. (i.e. How much shampoo per gallon of water, etc.)

I am a product user and just purchased a new Hoover "MAX Extract" steam carpet cleaner (To go along with my growing and almost house trained 14 week old Am Staff/mix puppy). This particular steam cleaner has a built in chamber that pre-mixes added, full concentration of cleaner with water automatically, a guess of about 12 ounces. I fill the chamber for "detergent/cleaner" and fill my "water only" chamber until full. It works great this way. I have found that pre-treating for an hour or two before cleaning carpets with a machine, using natures miracle (take you pick of favorite odor stoppers - I use both the urine and regular or new orange scented - although the orange may mask odors - and I like to know when it is GONE) works really well. Only occasionally do I have to go back and deep treat a "spot", and if I do - it is usually only a faint odor remaining (sensitive nose, picky house owner). I love these products and it is the only thing I have used for years. I have had every kind of animal there is over time.

Is there carpet shampoo supposed to be diluted before use?

My steam cleaner uses hot water in a seperate container and the steam cleaner mixes the shampoo with the hot water. Can I use this product with my type of machine? I have been treating my carpet with the Advanced odor remover and I want to steam clean my carpet when I get the cat urine smell out.

Under the category of Product Use it says to pour Nature's Miracle on the carpet full strength for odor removal. It does not specify which specific product that is applicable for. I poured the deep cleaning carpet shampoo on the carpet after vacuuming and am letting it soak in. Is that right? The bottle says you can use it with a steam cleaner or alone, but it only gives directions to use it with a machine. Is there ANYWHERE that gives directions for use alone?
